This Is Humbling

The winner of The 48 Hour Book Challenge only read three hours longer than I did, but she read twice the number of books and three times the number of pages.

Yeah, sure, but it's the quality of my reading that mattered.

I begin training for next year's challenge tonight.

  1. You see, now I wasn't going to say that.

I think you did a great job. You carved out time for the task and more than met your goal. And participated in something different, and dare I say, a little bit cool.

Plus, out of the eight books I read, yours was my favorite. So, smile Happy Kid.

  2. If you read my closing summary, you'll see that my reading was fueled by an unquenchable thirst to get back to something I so desperately miss. Once I got going, I was unable to stop! It was like that giddy feeling of rolling down a grassy hill on a warm summer evening surrounded by fireflies!

And by the way, I loved The Hero of Ticonderoga.

  3. Yes, MotherReader, I definitely feel I did very well this past weekend because of all the good attention Happy Kid! received.

  4. zg--My reading was fueled by obsession.

Thanks for the mention of Hero. I had a little Ethan Allen obsession going for a while when I was working on that one.
