I haven't finished reading the
September/October issue of The Horn Book yet--I'm not even close to getting to the reviews--but I did find
An Interview with Pat Scales interesting. Scales is President of
ALA's Association for Library Service to Children and has a long history in library science. In addition to discussing programs she's conducted in school libraries, she talks about
Accelerated Reader and the impact she thinks it's having on reading.
