What were the chances that I would ego surf today and find a brand new post on Anne of Green Gables at Archimedes Forgets that refers to me? I don't ego surf a lot, in large part because I don't find enough new stuff, so how's that good for my ego?
Hmmm. In that first sentence I think I used two prepositional phrases and a phrase beginning with that, all of which modify "brand new post." I think "brand new post" is an object of some sort. I don't know if I was supposed to do that.
Copy editor!
I just figured you had a Google Alert set up! Glad the serendipity worked out.
ReplyDeleteWell, I do have a Google Alert set up, but it never alerts me to anything good. It alerts me to other women named Gail who have had their marathon times posted somewhere. I believe I've also been alerted to obituaries for women named Gail or men named Gauthier. The most me-related things I get usually deal with someone selling one of my books second hand.
ReplyDeleteOh. Wait. Did the Google Alert alert you about my post that mentions you. Wouldn't that be sweet irony or something similar.
Ha! 'Twould indeed, but I've only set up an alert for my name, not for the blog name. (Mostly I get alerted to weeks-old tweets that Google's decided to index.)
