I got about 50 pages in, but Picky Reader got the book for a Christmas present, and she doesn't want me to read past her. So I'm waiting. It was okay. I like British mysteries.
I saw some reviews at Goodreads that suggested some people thought it was a mystery. I don't really see that. It's only mysterious in the sense that there are characters who have backstory that we don't find out about for a while.
I've friended a lot of children's lit people at Goodreads. I was surprised that no one I know there appears to have read the book. I would have thought children's lit people would have wanted to give it a go out of curiousity.
Oh, perhaps I should warn you. Really, really rough language and situations. Appropriate for the book, but literally we're talking sex, drugs, and a little rock and roll.
