When I first became aware of you through your blog, I made a point of considering the possibility that you were a woman, because I thought it would be sexist of me to just assume that any person using initials was a man. But that article suggests many people don't worry about whether or not they're being sexist.

Oy! I had no idea CJ Sansome was a woman. I couldn't tell one way or the other, and her mysteries have male protags.
How crushingly STUPID I would tell the editor they were being, if they wanted me to change my name for some marketing nonsense.
Although... the T.S. worked well for Eliot...
And Gail, I love Scotland. Truly. But, I can see some of the people here being none-too-concerned about the sexist thing...
