The Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Connecticut runs writers programs off and on throughout the year. On Saturday and Sunday July 10 through 12 it is offering a
Virtual Writers Weekend. This means you don't have to be in the greater Hartford area to attend. Or, of course, worry about what to wear, gassing up the car, where to park, or what you'll do for lunch.
The weekend involves speakers and programs on a variety of different types of writing. I don't see anything specifically for children's writers, but the Mark Twain House expects to be adding more presenters to the schedule so something could come. Keep checking.
The registration fee is only $75.
