I am trying to get through all the Harry Potter posts at the child_lit listserv. It may take the rest of my life. I just found a link to this eye-popping condemnation of Harry at The Nation. This reviewer definitely wasn't enjoying being immersed in the serial aspects of the story.

I'm afraid I've given up trying to keep up with them - the threads have got very convoluted and argumentative in my mind, so I just skim and read the non-HP ones...

I have to admit that I'm barely looking at the really long posts, and some subjects within the subject have pretty much run their course for me.
