Scott Westerfeld has finished the first draft of Extras, the next book in the Uglies series. Get a load of the cover. And, while you're at it, look at the number of responses he got to that blog post.
I have that many readers, by the way. More than that many. You guys just aren't very vocal. I'm cool with the introvert thing.

There's another book? Man, I thought I was done. I didn't love Specials, but so many teens read the series that I'll feel obligated to read the next book.
When I see that many comments on a blog - and it's rare that I do - it blows my mind. And I'm not the least bit jealous. Nope. Not me.
I found Specials disappointing, too, but I liked the first two books in the series. I believe it was originally supposed to be a trilogy.
I tried to skim some of the comments, wondering if a number of them were from the some handful of people who were into some kind of discussion. I didn't get very far, though.
